Home Sweet Home

Hello!! I went home this weekend, it was so quick it could have been a dream, but I enjoyed every second. My Saturday was jam packed with family and fun :)  I started my day off by running to this vintage shop that I've been hearing about called The Rabbit Hole with my sister. I was able to grab a few items before heading home to meet up with the rest of my family to walk around the Key Biscayne Art Festival.

Here are my fab finds:

I can't wait to include these hot pieces in my upcoming posts so you can see their full potential.  The owner was so sweet she snagged a pic of me in the black and white dress when I tried it on, for the Facebook page, check it out.   Check them out on Facebook or grab some items on their site Shop Rabbit Hole.

After a quick thrift run, me and the family headed out to the Key Biscayne Arts Festival, it was soooo hot.  Here's a quick picture of what I wore.

Dress and Belt: Thrifted (A skirt from Goodwill I belted), Purse: Deux Lux, Sandals: Urban Outfitters
After the festival, I was so drained from the sun but since I knew I would only be in Miami for a little over a day, I decided to get my nails done. I looooveee them. I've been so into nail art lately. I did some research online and found this chick named Sierra who does fabulous nail art. I made a last minute appointment and let her freestyle on my nails, hopefully it'll last a week or two (its on my natural nails so polish never lasts too long).

Check out more designs at Nail Me Online
I arrived home just in time to hop in the car for dinner. I threw on a blazer from Urban Outfitters and headed to this delicious Italian restaurant downtown called Fratelli Milano.  I had a great time in Miami, I hope you all had great weekends as well :)

Color Block meets Geometry

My ultimate favorite trend last year was Color Blocking. This year I was praying that this amazing trend would continue into the spring. So I was pleasantly surprised this season to see that the color blocking trend came back in full effect and dominated the runway. But I am mostly pleased with the geometric touch that some designers added to their color blocked pieces. I love the bright bold colors against the contrasting lines and shapes of the geometric designs. Its genius! Check out some looks form this season!

Spring 2012 Runway Refresher

I don't know about where you are but in Florida the pollen is flying and the flowers are blooming. Everything around me is shouting SPRING IS HERE!!!! Or it will very soon arrive.  Spring is my favorite time of the year especially when it comes to fashion.  Late last night I decided to hop on my Style.com app and revisit my favorite runway looks and choose some wardrobe essentials.  Here are my absolute favorites from the Spring/Summer 2012 Ready to Wear collections (be prepared its a lot).

Love Lola :)
Alexander McQueen
The head gear on this outfit is amazing!  Not to mention the cut outs and the lace are to die for!! I love this look!

Check the face mask in the middle pic, Alexander McQueen presentation and execution is amazing.

I see these shoes in my dreams....

BCBG Max Azria
I love the use of lines and the neutral muted palettes used in this collection!

Balmain
Balmain manages to make this hardcore arrmour style stay in style forever.

Bebe
Not a huge fan of Bebe but I love white, so I chose these two outfits.

Betsey Johnson
Betsey Johnson was hit and miss but I absolutely loved these two looks! This floral dress is amazing its casual but extremely sexy. I really was sold on the hair and make up it was just funky and hot!

Christian Dior
One of my hands down, favorites of this season is Christian Dior. Besides the fact that each of these models is in dire need of a slip under these dresses (seeing panties is never flattering), these sheer dresses and gowns are going to be the death of me. I loved the soft yet vibrant colors and the way they danced down the run way.   The looks were drop dead gorgeous!

Christian Siriano
Beautiful! I think I'm in chiffon heaven!

Zac Posen
There were lots of looks I liked, I wasn't head over heels but this dress was adorable.
Givenchy
I'm not always a fan of Givenchy but I feel like this season just reminded me of a woman who is in control at home and at work.  A powerhouse woman is definitely wearing Givenchy this Spring.
Chanel
I love how Chanel mixed a structured modern look with a very feminine fluffy piece.
Marchesa
Two words: Show STOPPER. Inspiration for my wedding dress :)

Ellie Saab
This season Ellie Saab took my breathe away. Every look that went down the runway was something that I wanted to own.  The color palette was absolutely amazing, brights and neutral colors both graced the stage. It was a dream. I literally screamed. I was absolutely in love with this collection but I wish they would have done something more with the hair and makeup.

Leather Skirt and Pretty Bows

Hiiiii!!!! Sorry for the delay, we're still here!!! We're doing some renovations to the site that we'll hopefully unveil soon :)  So, after I went to NYC with Fufu, I flew over to Los Angeles, California for some fun in the sun!!  I had a fabulous time and I snagged a few cute items, although I didn't get to shop nearly as much as I wanted to.  I bought this great pleated faux leather skirt from H&M and threw it on with one of my many white button downs. I couldn't figure out if I loved it with my faux leather jacket or my red blazer so I took pics in both. Let me know what you think.

Love Lola :)
